I made this car and painting for Thomas Jane. I meet him back in 2006 when I made my GTO for him. I really liked the GTO & I told him next time he comes I’ll do the Road Runner for him. A couple of years past and another Punisher movie came out. It didn’t have Thomas Jane in it though. He had done the Mist instead because I heard he didn’t like the direction of the new Punisher movie. So I watched The Mist I loved it. What really stuck in my head was the part at the end. You never see movies like that anymore. Everything is so cookie cutter. So I did the painting for him as well.
The Road Runner was made to look like it was the one he left in at the end of the Punisher movie. As you can tell the Punisher had some time to tinker with it. It has everything he needs to punish the bad guys along with a new viper V10 engine & many upgraded performance parts. The interior has built in protection just like the GTO. It also bigger gas tank with a Mad Max feel.
So I did the painting for him as well. It was taken from a very dramatic scene from The Mist.
Well he came back to Dallas in 2008 & I got to meet him again. Just like last he really loved the car. He said that he really wanted a Road Runner for his car in the Punisher movie but the higher ups said to use a GTO. Then he saw the painting & thought it was really cool as well. He signed both & said I did a Great Job & Thanks!
