Horizon 1950 Batmobile 1:24th Scale

I got what I thought was a great deal on a Horizon Batmobile 1950 1/24, However the Seller packed it really bad and it got to me all busted up and had been painted and put together terrible( what ya want for $9.99 ?). I did however get a great deal out of it so I decided to make the best of it and try to make it look like Batman had a Bad Run in With the JOKER himself!

First thing to address was the wing. It was broken off and was missing the top piece of the Bat Shaped wing. So I had to sand a new Triangle, The undercarriage was missing a Leaf spring and the other was broken. So thankfully I had 2 spare leaf springs and I was able to mod and use them. Also it was missing the passenger headlight. So I found the best match I could, but it didn't match. So I made it look like A Bullitt Shot threw it and broke the headlight.

Then I puddied the model as best as I could. I didn't want to do a total tear down of the model. It was VERY VERY POORLY put together and I am positive I would have only destroyed it completely trying to get it apart.

After sanding the pudy and doing my best to fill in all the cracks I could. I gave it a light sand and painted a light coat of Gloss black. Then the guy who had no business working on such a beautiful model did a bad job on the Chasse! So I painted it flat black, painted the engine, the main frame and then the bolts. I also repainted all the turn signals, taillights and bumper.

Now for the Destruction. I bent the Front Bumper on the driver side with heat, to make it look like Batman Rammed into the side of Jokers car. I also made A Green Scrap mark to show were they hit. (So I made the Joker car in my mind Green with a purple roof.) Then I put 6 Bullitt hole in the Batmobile. 3 in the windshield, 2 in the hood and one in the passenger headlight. I also took out a few chips out of the Bat shield to make it look like he had hit the Joker car with it as well.

Then I added 2 Batman logos that looked closely to the original ones that were on the car. After that I weathered the car like she has been used quiet a bit and had seen some serious action.

All in all I really love the car. The only problem is I really want a new one to put together so I can see how one of the Beauty's is supposed to look like!
